this was indeed a very interesting Thanksgiving. it started like any other Thanksgiving, preparing the house for guests, doing everything possible to make the house look spectacular and food amazing (both turned out perfect, of course). all in conjunction with lots of eating, talking and entertainment starring everyone's little angel.
we waited awhile, relaxed a bit, and cleaned up. then oldest sisters, Heather and Steph, along with Steph's kids Parker, McKay, and Sophie, walked, rode and rolled over to Hermosa Vista Elementary School. it was so much fun running around my old playground with children that were new to it. geez, am i so much taller than i was back then. i even put on my roller blades Parker was borrowing and rolled around the basketball courts. it was hilarious when all the kids started running after me trying to chase me down then me trying to chase them.
luckily i had some time to rest again so that when my best friends called, i was ready to get back in action! friends Haley Boyle, Lara Boyle, Shelley Kleinman, and Luke Goodman went and saw the new Muphets movie. man was it so adorable and FUNNY, plus there were so many celebrities in it (besides the Muppets) it made my head spin.
and don't forget the giant movie ads for Sherlock Homes next month. TOTALLY SEEING THAT.
i had such a great time today, i'm so sad its ending. why must
every new beginning be some other beginning's end? (a cookie to whoever can name that song)
so here are some highlight photos:
Karl bought these awesome wind-up airplanes that the kids and i had a blast with tossing outside. and Sharon (Karl's "plus 1") even helped make the kids some paper airplanes too!
such a look of concentration!
